Huawei Band 4 and Watch GT 2 are approved by Anatel
Huawei does not walk launching mobile phones in Brazil, but its line of accessories is growing in the country: she brought fitness bracelets, smartwatches, and headsets Bluetooth, even after the US sanctions. In 2020, we should find at least two new products: the Huawei Band 4 smart band and the Huawei Watch GT 2 watch, both focused on exercise monitoring.
Huawei Band 4 has sleep phase monitoring
The new fitness bracelet is a successor to the Huawei Band 3, launched in Brazil for R $ 399. With a small 0.96 inch (80 × 160 pixels) LCD screen, the Huawei Band 4 has an integrated heart rate reader and can monitor nine types of physical activities, such as running, walking, elliptical and rowing, informing you of your speed, amount of calories burned and other data.
Band 4 also has an integrated accelerometer for sleep monitoring: the data provided is that of Huawei TruSleep 2.0, which records the four phases (deep, light, REM, and awake sleep) and can identify six types of sleeping problems, including suggesting tips for you to have a better night’s rest. With this feature enabled, the battery can last up to eight days, according to Huawei.
The accessory weighs 24 grams with the bracelet already installed and is compatible with both Android phones and iPhones.
Huawei Watch GT 2 brings music to your wrist
In our review, we defined the Huawei Watch GT as a sports watch that wanted to be a smartwatch: despite the high-quality screen, it had no features present in competitors of the same price range, such as the ability to store music in internal memory, and their options for interacting with the cell phone were very limited. The second-generation solves some of the weaknesses.
The Huawei Watch GT 2 has a more refined design, with a glass that runs down to the watch bezel; the screen remains a 1.39 inch AMOLED with 454 × 454 pixel resolution in the 46 mm version. With the help of a Bluetooth headset, you can make phone calls even if you are within 150 meters of your cell phone.
There are 15 different types of physical activity recorded, including running, walking, cycling, treadmill, exercise bike, swimming, elliptical, among others. There is heart rate monitoring even underwater. And it is possible to store up to 500 songs on the 2 GB internal storage.
If you enable exercise monitoring and GPS, you can use it continuously for up to 30 hours. In the typical usage conditions disclosed by Huawei, with active sleep monitoring, heart rate measurement every 10 minutes, 90 minutes of exercise per week, and 30 minutes of music, the Huawei Watch GT 2 can go up to 14 days without being recharged.
Huawei’s new watch has no official release date and price yet. According to Pinguins Mobile, the two sizes (42 and 46 mm) of the Huawei Watch GT 2 were approved by Anatel. The predecessor arrived in the country for R $ 1,499, only in the larger version.
